Border police training sessions

4-7 November 2024

 

Between 4-7 November 2024, the representatives of the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing held four training sessions in the field of data protection, for the Border Police’s personnel, in the context of our country’s accession to the Schengen air and maritime area.

During these seminars organised by the General Inspectorate of the Border Police, following the initiative of ANSPDCP, information on the status and task of ANSPDCP, the main rules for processing personal data established by Law no. 363/2018, related to the specificity of the border policemen’ activity, was presented. The importance of providing information on the rights of the data subjects at the border crossing points, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, was highlighted.

Also, relevant aspects regarding ensuring the confidentiality and security of data processing and practical examples from the control activity in the field of data protection were presented. On this occasion, we note the numerous participation in these useful training sessions in the process of profession development of the IGPF’s staff.
