Article 29 Working Party Guidelines – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

During the Article 29 Plenary held in December 2016, 3 guidelines were adopted in order to ensure a harmonized application of the General Data Protection Regulation starting with the 25th of May 2018.

Thus, the following guidelines are available for public consultation and comments until the end of January 2017:

• Guidelines on the right to data portability, according to Article 20 of GDPR
• Guidelines on Data Protection Officers (‘DPOs’), according to Articles 37-39 of GDPR
• Guidelines for identifying a controller or processor’s lead supervisory authority

These guidelines are available, for now, only in English.
