Round table
“The application of the New General Data Protection Regulation
in the public sector – obligations and responsibilities”
The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing organizes the Round Table on “The application of the New General Data Protection Regulation in the public sector - obligations and responsibilities" on the 22nd of September 2017 at 11:00 at the Palace of Parliament.
This event is dedicated exclusively to the central public authorities and institutions in Romania, considering the adoption of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, directly applicable in all Member States as of the 25th of May 2018.
On this occasion, we emphasize that each public institution has the obligation to designate a person responsible for the protection of personal data, having regard to the provisions of Articles 37-39 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
The informative materials dedicated to the application of the General Data Protection Regulation are available at the dedicated section available at www.dataprotection.ro. The access of mass-media will be based on the already existing accreditations for the Palace of Parliament.
