During the period 4-5 December 2018, the Plenary of European Data Protection Board, body with legal personality, established based on Article 68 of the General Data Protection Board, took place.

With this occasion, the Opinion of the European Data Protection Board on the Commission proposal for a Decision on the adequate level of protection in Japan, in light of the provisions of Article 45 of the General Data Protection Regulation, was adopted.

During this reunion, the Guidelines on accreditation which seeks to establish a common approach in the application of Article 43 of the Regulation was also discussed.
